2. Swimming is a national pastime. Hungary has more than 1,000 natural hot springs, as well as the world’s largest thermal lake. So it comes as no surprise that the country features scores of thermal bathing complexes.

3. Sports are very popular. Hungarians love sports, and are proud that Hungary is among those countries with the highest number of Olympic medals per capita. The most popular sports include fencing, swimming, gymnastics, kayaking, and water polo.
